1. Introduction to Certification

ETL is the abbreviation of Electrical Testing Laboratories in the United States. It was founded by Thomas Edison in 1896 and is an NRTL (National Recognition Laboratory) accredited by OSHA (Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration). After more than 100 years, the ETL mark has been widely recognized and accepted by major retailers in North America, and enjoys a high reputation like UL. The North American market has the most advanced and complete product testing standards, and has relatively high requirements for product testing and certification. As long as any electrical, mechanical or electromechanical product bears the ETL inspection mark, it shows that it has been tested to meet relevant industry standards.
